Department Of Clinical Medicine

The Kesmonds International University’s Clinical Medicine is the part of medicine that deals with the direct examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients. It is carried out in a doctor's office, a patient's home, or in a hospital setting. It is an applied science that makes practical use of the technical and theoretical knowledge that is gained from basic medicine. Clinical medicine plays the central role in patient care as it directly deals with patients. It is based on the principles of evidence-based medicine and patient-centered care. Evidence-based medicine integrates the best available research evidence with clinical knowledge to come up with treatment plans that are most likely to result in desirable outcomes. Patient-centered care is the adoption of approaches that place the personal desires of the patient at the forefront of the treatment strategy. The Department of Clinical Medicine (DCM) contributes to teaching, research and knowledge dissemination within the clinical field.
